Chain Guard applies a four-phase methodology to help defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies manage supply chain risk with precision and purpose. We begin by mapping and analyzing end-to-end supply chain ecosystems to uncover critical dependencies and vulnerabilities. Next, we assess risks using threat intelligence, government frameworks, and tailored analysis focused on cybersecurity, foreign influence, and operational disruption. Based on those insights, we develop targeted mitigation strategies aligned with mission needs and regulatory requirements. Finally, we strengthen long-term resilience by supporting implementation, delivering tailored training and awareness modules, and integrating SCRM into broader enterprise risk and acquisition functions.

Our history
Chain Guard was built on 20+ years of experience supporting the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and Department of State in high-risk, mission-critical environments. Our approach was shaped through real-world operations in Afghanistan, the COVID-19 pandemic, and Eastern Europe—where we delivered supply chain resilience in non-permissive and near-peer adversary contexts. These experiences inform our pragmatic, threat-driven methodology designed to help agencies secure and sustain their supply chains under pressure.
Risk Definition
At Chain Guard, risk management is the proactive and continuous process of identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats that could compromise the integrity, security, or resilience of a supply chain. For us, it’s not just about checking compliance boxes—it’s about safeguarding mission success.
